The key to effective interviewing is preparation and practice. Learn how to prepare before, during, and after the interview to make a great impression. Ready to practice? Schedule an appointment for a mock interview with a Career Coach or attend an Interviewing Lab facilitated by your Career Community Team.

How do I find a work-study job?

If you receive financial aid from Stanford University, and have a Federal Work Study Program award as part of your financial aid package, you can log into Handshake and look for Federal Work Study jobs.

    • Selecdt On-Campus in the filters section
    • Search – Use the search terms FWS or Federal Work Study to find applicable jobs
  • For job details, click on the job and review the details

BEAM Fellows connects frosh/soph with alumni who have non-technical internships!

The program is a partnership between alumni and BEAM, Stanford Career Education, to connect undeclared students to alumni with non-technical summer internships. Alumni from diverse industries seek interns for a variety of substantive and engaging work.

There are opportunities in entertainment, finance, business, marketing, graphic design, social media, sales, and more! Students hired by alumni for BEAM Fellows can also apply for up to $5,000 in funding to help cover the costs of travel and living expenses.
