What has led you to your current role as Peer Career Coach?
After hearing about Peer Career Coaches, I found that many of my experiences and values aligned with those expected of a PCC. I find so much fulfillment in advocating for others who share similar a background as mine, and I couldn't imagine a better way to support my peers in their journey to success.
Tell us something interesting about your background.
Hello everyone, I'm Ruby! I am a FLI Latina from South Central Los Angeles who identifies as Salvadorian and Mexican, so I am quite passionate about embracing the beautiful aspects that define both of these cultures and regions. Growing up, I have always been inspired to support communities that are frequently underserved and marginalized, such as South Central, so I hope that in addition to majoring in MS&E , I can co-term in CS to leverage the intersection of business and technology to accomplish these aspirations. For these reasons, I find that I love to meet new people and learn about all of their amazing backgrounds, cultures, and interests!
