Stanford Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Many Stanford departments and programs sponsor an undergraduate research program that provides financial support for students to work with Stanford professors on faculty-designed research projects.  Programs generally take place over the summer, but many support research during the regular academic year as well.

Our digital resources are a valuable complement to in-person events and programs. These tools help tailor your career exploration and decision-making, research industries, and expose you to the varied world of work.


Handshake is an online platform that provides Stanford students with opportunitiesand connections related to their career aspirations and interests. Employers also access Handshake to post positions, create events, and connect with students. Use this platform for coaching appointments, job and internship searches, and finding career events that interest you.

LinkedIn Learning

Use LinkedIn Learning, an online training library, which has over 13,000 courses covering business, technology and creative topics. Plus, it's free for Stanford students!

A Strategies Guide Toward Pursuing Meaningful Work 

The BEAM Career Strategies Guide for Bachelor's & Master's Students includes information and resources on discovering & assessing yourself, exploring opportunities, activating your job/internship search, and attending career fairs.

Management Consulted

Management Consulted is the world’s leading resource on consulting news and prep. T.R.E.E. (Tools for Career Readiness, Exploration, and Evaluation)

T.R.E.E. will help you list your career interests and design specific goals to explore and pursue those interests. Each phase includes activities and tips to walk you through the career process. You can also download and print your T.R.E.E. profile.
